No Phono input!

I'm upgrading from a 20 year old stereo to a "home theater surround" receiver..

Did realize until I got it, that there's no phono level inputs! I still got a turntable, and maybe 40-50 vinyl disks.

Anyway, does anyone make an adapter for phono level to normal input level signals?

You need a phono preamp:

Sure, you just need a phone pre-amp. Radio Shack has one for $30:

'm sure there are cheaper ones too, probably on ebay. J Miller wrote:> I'm upgrading from a 20 year old stereo to a "home theater surround"> receiver..>> Did realize until I got it, that there's no phono level inputs! I> still got a turntable, and maybe 40-50 vinyl disks.>>

get a "phono preamp"

or you can use your old stereo just as a phono preamp. Put its selector on phono, and run its "tape REC OUT" to an available input on your new receiver.
