Please log in for more thread options I have been favorably impressed with the theoretical capabilities of the LukWerks video monitoring system, yet I see almost nothing on this newsgroup regarding it - not even in the archives. I realize it may be a bit more expensive than some other options, but aside from that are there any reasons anyone knows of that I should not consider it as an option for both indoor and outdoor monitoring? Thanks for any advice, -- CSquared

Please log in for more thread options ability to view remotely, the ability to receive video emails to my phone or even browse my home from my phone or work computer is great piece of mind. The video quality is good and the price is not that bad if you shop online or eBay. I am amazed, given all the awards this product has garnered, that more is not being said. Just Google LukWerks and see how many great articles come up.

Please log in for more thread options Thanks Dimbo, I'm planning a similar setup. One of the things I really
like is being able to check up on things when I'm at work. I have looked at some of the Google hits for LukWerks but I probably need to spend more time on that. I am just really surprised no one has mentioned them more in this group. I'm not quite done planning yet, but I think it is going to take 6 cameras to adequately cover the outside of our house too. Some will be on the inside of windows looking out and some will have to be mounted outside I think. I'm adding some motion triggered outside lights too, so hopefully illumination won't be a problem at night. I plan to mount the outside cameras under the eaves of the house near the motion lights. I figure that way I can just have the electricians install an outlet near where they mount the motion lights. Of course I'll have to make sure the lights don't shine right into the cameras, but I don't see that as a big problem. I wonder if anyone has tried writing any of their own software for these cameras, and if that is even likely to be possible? I was thinking it might be useful to experiment a bit with the motion detection, but of course I'll give the LukWerks software a good tryout first. I noticed that most posts on the subject seem to be from first time posters who say things like, "I have been favorably impressed with the theoretical capabilities." Usually such posts generate between 0 and 3 replies from actual people. > Thanks for any advice
Put real specifications instead of superlatives in your product descriptions. Insert "PR:" in front of the subject on all press releases when posting here. -- Regards, Robert L Bass =============================>
