I'm looking at new ram to buy for my computer and I have two questions:
a) Is DDR-RAM the same as DDR-SDRAM? The reason it seems like this is
because newegg.com has SDRAM and it has DDR-SDRAM but it does not have
just DDR-RAM.
b) What is the difference between Registered and Unbuffered RAM? Is
one significantly better than the other?
The RAM in my computer now says it is "128MB DDR PC2100 CL2.5".

PC66/100/133 is SDRAM.        168 pins

PC1600/2100/2700/3200 is DDR SDRAM. 184 pins

PC2-3200/4200/5300 is DDR2 240 pins

Some motherboards, server boards, for example, can use registered, ECC
RAM. Chances are your board can not.

It is likely you can use PC3200 DDR 184 pins, unbuffered,non-ECC, ran at
133MHz, which is PC2100 speed.

What motherboard do you have ?

on the motherboard, it has a logo with a backwards R and a U.
Underneath that, it has some number "E139765", and under that it says
"model name BLUFORD.
