If you like Paragon Drive Copy 8.0 (or several other Paragon utilities) you
can download a free copy directly from their website at
http://www.vnunet.com/vnunet/downloads/2166317/paragon-drive-copy-personal.
I use xxclone for making images of my operating system drive for backup.
You can use it to make a booting copy of your hard drive and then directly
boot from that drive - no fuss, no muss :).
