hi there

in most cases you shouldnt need to do anything. SATA and IDE do not
work in the same slave/master way.

the sata drives each have their own channel, this should mean that you
should be able to plug in the sata drive and just install windows to
it,

If your sata ports are on your motherboard then you will need to go
into your bios, advanced settings then modify your boot order to have
sata drives first then IDE.

other than that you should be able to plug and play :)
