Please log in for more thread options Is the print head stuck or is it moving ? "Print the nozzle check pattern to determine whether the ink ejects properly from the Print Head Nozzles. Use this function when printed results are blurred or the color is incorrect. (1) Ensure that the printer is turned on, and then load a sheet of Letter paper. (2) Hold down the RESUME/CANCEL button until the POWER lamp flashes twice, and then release it immediately." Try the nozzle test, and see if the print head can move. Maybe it is stuck in place, or a motor has failed or something. This guess is based on finding the service error 5100 documented for another Canon printer. I cannot find error 5100 associated with iP2000, so this is just a guess on my part. It could be a "stuck print head", but it could also be something entirely different. Paul

Moving printer, different paper stock, nearly out of ink, etc? Try power cycling the printer, see if it has a reset option. Check the cartridges, remove and reinsert them if reasonably possible. Check for residue buildup as well. Try another cartridge(s) if you have spares and make sure they are fully inserted/seated.
