I have just purchased the DLink DSM-320 wireless media player, which is a device that sits on your network and talks to server software running on your pc.
So lets say my home network has a pc thats 192.168.1.10 and the media device has an ip 192.168.1.77. If I shut down zonealarm I can see the 'server share' on my pc, but I cannot see it while its running. I tried to define a rule that any traffic coming from 192.168.1.77 should be allowed, but it doesn't seem to work correctly. my rule has the specific ip for the source, but destination, protocol etc is set to any.
Has anyone set up anything like this and any advice on setting up the rule?
using ZA 6.0.631.003, on xp sp2 pro (xp firewall is off)
