Watchguard Content Filtering

Hi,

Any watchguard gurus out there? I am just looking to understand the content filtering (proxy policies) on the watchgaurd edge/peak/etc... firewalls.

Does each proxy policy/content filter apply to a whole connection or are you able to turn it off for certain IP/IP address ranges.

The user manual seems to indicate you can control their application via IP's but I need to be sure.

Kind Regards, Dan.

I have 4 different filter rules setup, based on IP ranges in our networks. You can set ANY rule to apply to any IP or range of IP, so that you can have different rules for different IP.

We normally use DHCP reservations so that managers systems are in one range, developers in another, and the non-reserved stations have the most filtering.
