If you're running XP, you could *try* a System Restore. Can't hurt. Having imaging software comes in real handy when stuff like this happens.

I was informed of an update to NIS 2005 this pm and allowed it to be installed. Since then, with the Firewall enabled, I cannot access the Internet with IE6, nor can I get email from my ISP. Disable NIS and I am able to access the Internet and get my email. So, I am assuming the new update to NIS caused this situation.
How does one back off the latest update to NIS 2005? Charlie

I got in touch with Symantec Tech Support and they had me uninstall LiveUpdate and reinstall it and that solved the problem. At least for now!
