I am using a single Windows XP machine to connect to the internet. Even when I am not using the internet, the network connection tray icon keeps glowing, indicating data transfer. The McAfee firewall on my machine does not register any such data transfer.
As per a suggestion in this forum, I installed Ethereal on my machine.
According to Ethereal the data packets are of type "Fibre Channel". I have appended here one such packet from the log. The log also has a few ARP packets thrown in.
