Hi. I have an Asante FR3004 router which is configured using a web interface. Is there any reason that I'd need a software firewall in addition? Is there anything special I should pay attention to in the configuration?
Thanks, Maxine

No you don't.
Flamer.
As long as you are not trying to provide PUBLIC ACCESS to your computer/network, a cheap NAT router is a good first line of defense.
As long as you monitor the logs showing in/out bound traffic, you should be able to spot any problems if they happen.
As long as you follow normal security standards for securing your system, your browser, your email, and any other internet type programs, you should be fine.
