simulation of higher spatial mode from multimode fiber

I am currently looking for a way to simulate beam propagation of higher spatial mode from optical fiber through free space.

For single spatial mode, we can assume it is Gaussian beam. Then using ABCD matrix, we can do a simple simulation.

I am just wondering any way to do this type of simulation for specific LP0M mode.

The ABCD matrix method will work for higher order modes as well. You just have to know the decomposition of your input in such modes.

The Hermite (Laguerre) functions are complete orthonormal sets.
