Why are HP fibre cables so expensive?

Please log in for more thread options I've been asked whay HP charge nearly ten times the price for their fibre channel optic cables. I've searched groups and the web with no real success. Anybody any ideas? Help appreciated! Thanks! Please log in for more thread options Because they can. It's HP, people will buy from them, and they can get away with it. Alternatively it is such a small part of their income they have not seriously looked at re-pricing it for a number of years.
