Dear all,
Is it possible to detect only the light emitted from the cladding and
further more to detect the intensity from the core and cladding
separately ?

Some patents have mentioned the offset arrangement of two fibers which
means the two are not collimated but there are a transverse
displacement between the two central axis,like US.patents No.7231114
and 7120324.
Is this scheme workable and are there any further materials about the
operation of offset arrangement?
