[REQ]Who has the document or example for the hash table (2-left)?

I am working on the hash table design. I need to know what is this hash table used for and how to use it. The structure of it etc.

Any information about it is welcomed.

Thanks

The only hash table I can think of related to ethernet is used for multicast address recognition. You should be more specific as to what you are looking for.

I am really new on ethernet. I just heard that our design will have two hash table for VLAN and DA. But I do not know the details on them.

There is a discussion of the use and implementation of hash tables for Ethernet addresses in Chapter 2 of "The Switch Book," available at:

(shameless plug admitted). The same concepts can be applied to hashing VLAN IDs.
