Hi,

Please refer me to the right usenet forum if this is not it; I couldn't
find anything relevant in comp.sys.hp.*

I'm interested in this switch and need to understand if the noise level
is low enough for an office environment (read, it will be under my
desk).

thanks, andre

I've installed these under a desk. But it was inside a small enclosed
rack. It has 2 fans I think. 24 gig ports with 4 GIBC ports needs some
power. Not silent, but no jet engine either.

But why don't you go the product page and open a chat. Then someone at
HP will look up the sound levels for you. :)

I suspect this group is reasonably on-topic. You could try
comp.sys.hp.hardware which I think some of the ProCurve types watch.
They also watch the networking forums at http://forums.itrc.hp.com/

That should work too :)

it is one of "Ring Around the Rosy" or perhaps "Duck Duck Goose."

these opinions are mine, all mine; HP might not want them anyway... :)
feel free to post, OR email to rick.jones2 in hp.com but NOT BOTH...
