ARP reply containing a multicast MAC OK?

I just went through a brief look at the original ARP RFC and a bit of querying (perhaps not enough) and am left wondering if there is any "chapter and verse" on whether it is permissible for an ARP reply to try to map a unicast IP address to a multicast MAC address.

Any thoughts?

thanks,
