Please log in for more thread options I have a host with a destination IP 172.16.10.24 on the same IP Class C and same ethernet segment as one network adapter of a Windows firewall whose IP is 172.16.10.5. I have a sniffer running on both firewall and destination host. I see the packet leave the 172.16.10.5 interface. A sniffer at 172.16.10.24 never sees the packet arrive. This only happens for a single protocol. Other packets appear to travel the same path for different protocols and everything works. How should I debug this to better understand where/how the packet is getting eaten? -- Will | ||||||||||||||||

Please log in for more thread options Well, with _that_ protocol it's clearly <vendor>'s switch in the
middle wiring closet.
