Please log in for more thread options IGMP, multicast addressing, etc. but I'd like to _see_ it work. I know *nothing* about multicast applications. I'd likle to set up a little test bed with a simple, low-volume, multicast server and a client or two all on my desk, connected to one switch with some snooping software. I have access to Linux and XP. Can someone recommend an application that I can use for my experimentation? Isn't NTP a multicast application? Would it make sense for me to set my Linux box up as an NTP server and set my XP system up as a client? Is going over to CompUSA and buying a webcam a reasonable approach? What would I use as a remote client? TIA. Chris | ||||||||||||||||
