You snipped half of it. The 2nd amendment is the worst-written part of
the Constitution; it's horribly ambiguous.

Because there is nothing to steel except for an old rifle.

Rewrite your sentence above in Dutch and I admit I made a stupid
spelling error :-) I meant to type 'steal'.

Kicking an environmentalist's ass makes my day :-)

Ah fudge. I was hoping that you were intentionally punning.

There was a made-for-TV movie that explored this subject.
"The Right of the People" (1986)
http://www.google.com/search?q=cache:UwJBYDptQOsJ:www.imdb.com/title/tt0091857+we+After.a.horrific.shooting.incident+a.small.town.votes.to.allow.a.mass.arming.of.the.citizenry+every-*-*-spat-*-*-*-*-*+liberalized+drop
I find the use of the word "liberalized" there ironic.

I note a difference between *town* and *big city*
--especially the **teeming masses** part.
I'm interested to see how this works out for D.C.
and to see if the model scales like you think it will.

I'm thinking this will be yet another black mark on Dubya's legacy.
