In the June 2005 issue of Wireless Design and Development,
the editorial director, on page 6, presents a website in which
an MIT student working on her thesis has a .pdf file which
describes a cell phone jammer, how to build, etc. The editorial
describes is as working for a range of about 4 meters.....

According to the article, it can be accessed at :

http://www.mit.edu/%7Eladyada/thesis.pdf

I went there, and it is a big 5.8 Meg file, which I cannot
download at my home speeds but plan to get the next time I
am at the college library.

If anyone here is interested, and can access this website,
it might be an interesting subject to discuss --- the technique
she uses, power level, modulation, etc.....

Shucks, I might even build it myself if it looks like a weekend
project.....

As I said, I haven't downloaded it myself, but plan to as soon
as I can...

Andy

PS. Sure it is illegal. Sure the FCC won't like it.
and, no, I really don't care, either......

I tried the link. It is easier to delete the "thesis.pdf" part and use
the URL in the truncated form. Then click on Technical Projects -->
Fresh Air. This will take you to an index about the project with
"overview," "hardware," "software," etc. etc. No big wait for 5 megs
to come up (it never came up for me anyway) and you can get a quick
look at what's going on.

Then I suggest you go back to masturbation class.
