VPN connection issue; no data passing after connection

Hello,

Our company has Cisco 3030 VPN Concentrator's which have been in place for about 2 years now. The issue we are running into is if any user is NOT behind a NAT device they will be able to connect but will not be able to receive any traffic through the Concentrator. This only happens if they connect via the Ethernet 2 (External) interface. They can make a successful connection and pass data through when connecting via the Concentrator's Public interface (Internet). We have a TAC case opened with Cisco but they haven't come back with anything yet. Anyone out there having this type of issue or have any advice on what to verify/check on the Concentrator as well as the client's config.

Thanks,

Brian

This isn't for internal folks connecting to your own vpn concentrator is it? Sounds like a familiar problem that requires some special configurations if this is the case (related to routing back to the internal network through the public interface). If its strictly external users, then not really sure.

You could always ask your users to Drive Golf Carts to the buildings they are trying to connect to. This would cut down on network bandwidth as well as erase your need for a VPN Concentrator?
