I am reviewing the config management tools from Voyence, Rendition Networks & AlterPoint. We have chosen to go this way as opposed to home-grown scripts.
Does anyone have any 'real world' experience with these? Anyone do the same evaluations? I'm very interested to see what other people's opinions are.

we are in the process of rolling out Rendition. i can't wait to start playing with the tasks feature and doing cool things on a regularly scheduled basis w/out having to write scripts for it. the interface is very easy to figure out and the help pdf is included for the ops folks to reference as needed. ours is a very large deployment that required san storage. i was not a stake holder in the product selection but was told voyence was a good product but too costly.
