hi,

We have a Cisco 837 router and I deleted IOS due to certain confusion
and now it is in ROM Monitor mode. I have done all the set commands
with the relevant IP address`s but every time I am getting an error
i.e. Invalid or illegal IP address. Any advice ?

Thanks in advance !

Ade

Hi Ade,

You may wish to investigate ROMmon Recovery for the Cisco 800 Series
Router:

Hope this helps.

Ade,

It's a while since I tried it but I am sure you can use tftp download. You
will of course need a TFTP server on your PC.

Hi,

try to use Xmodem copy with your console cable. It's slow but work well.
Use Windows Hyperterminal.
