I am running several 800 series modems with 12.4 IOS in them
Will I see any improvement in ADSL line stabilty or faster operation under heavy load if I upgrade to IOS 15.

Maybe, but I need to use a older DSL firmware (adsl_alc_20190.bin) on my 876W to be able to use my 16MBit/s line at full speed.
