Cisco IDS 4200 series - Getting Started

Hi everyone,

My company recently decided to dig out a Cisco IDS 4200 from the closet. No one here has used it before (the person in charge of it previously left a few years ago). I am having the hardest time finding any information about configuring them, how to monitor events, and just using them in general. Can anyone here point me in the right direction or perhaps tell me how to get started with it. Also, is it even worth trying to salvage and use? It is years old by now of course.
