Any ideas please?

I think the log isnt showing the timezone time.

m4900#sh clock
15:41:08.661 CET Tue Aug 18 2009
m4900#clear counters
Clear "show interface" counters on all interfaces [confirm]
m4900#sh log
Syslog logging: enabled (0 messages dropped, 0 messages rate-limited,
0 flushes, 0 overruns, xml disabled, filtering disabled)

<output supressed>
Log Buffer (4096 bytes):

Aug 18 13:41:13.846: %CLEAR-5-COUNTERS: Clear counter on all
interfaces by root on vty0 (10.1.1.1)

Did you tell it to do that? It looks like in newer IOS it got it's own
special command -

service timestamps log datetime [msec] [localtime] [show-timezone]
