We need to setup a branch office. We are familiar with Site-to-Site VPNs using Linksys RV042 routers. Can anyone recommend a more robust router/firewall for the following:
- We have (10) XP Pro clients that will connect to Main office's Terminal Server to run accounting application whose database (Pervasive SQL) is on the Domain Controller (DC).
- We have cable Internet with (1) Static IP --we can get more if we need it -- 3MB down/768 up
- We will not have a server at the braqnch office. We have W2K3 Server as the DC at the main office
- We will authenticate to DC at main location for the purpose of Group Policy enforcement
- We have Symantec Endpoint Security installed on the DC, which protects clients on domain--to include remotes
- We use DHCP from the DC. We have a wireless router (really acting as access point) for laptops in main office.
We are not familiar with Cisco routers/firewalls. We plan to setup a VPN and run Terminal Services through it. We also need separate tunnels (or do we?) for traveling salepeople.
Thanks
