If anyone has been having problems with WS-X67xx modules (GigE for Cat
6500 series) I'd be interested in comparing notes with them. Direct
email replies preferred - I'm trying to find out whether the issues we
have are common and I really don't want to spread alarm and confusion
if they're not.

Thanks,

Sam

I have a couples of WS-X6748-SFP and WS-X6704-10GE running unter CatOS
8.(4). No problems so far, i.e. since two years.

Feel free to ask more in private communication.

i think i saw a notice about some of the 67xx series cards at work - if you
want i can check when i get back..... let me know.

any of this stuff should get documented on the web site - unless you have
something cisco havent found / admitted yet ?

there have been a lot of field notes for Cat 6500s - see:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/switches/ps708/prod_field_notices_list.html

7600 is really a Cat 6k running IOS, so check there:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/routers/ps368/prod_field_notices_list.html

Finally - given Cisco have UK account specialists for Universities - i would
check with them.....

We're aware of several bugs, at least one field notice and we're DEEP
in discussion with Cisco and our suppliers. We're just finding it a
little odd that no one else seems to be hitting the same problems.

Thanks,

Sam
