Hi all,

I thought 4900 was a higher and more configurable switch series. But I saw 4900
has les modules and the overall
components (the chassis) are cheaper than 4500.

What do they differ by?

TIA
Alex.

~350 ports is a place to start.

I have the idea that it is like a 4500 Supervisor (decent newish one,
IV or V) and a
48 port GBE card in a 1U package.

The idea is that you deploy one per rack in your comms room.

Search CCO for 4900 for more.
