We have a requirement to use either the Cisco 837 or 828 model router,
and we have multiple subnets (3 of them) behind the router.
I was told the Cisco 837 has a limit to support only 2 IP address on
their ethernet interface but not anything than 2. Would like to check
if anybody know if this is true or not !!
Many thanks. KL

Nope! My 837 does three quite happily!
!
interface Ethernet0
ip address 192.168.100.1 255.255.255.0 secondary
ip address 172.16.1.1 255.255.255.0 secondary
ip address 10.19.72.1 255.255.255.0
172.16.0.0/24 is subnetted, 1 subnets
C 172.16.1.0 is directly connected, Ethernet0
10.0.0.0/24 is subnetted, 2 subnets
C 10.102.66.0 is directly connected, BVI1
C 10.19.72.0 is directly connected, Ethernet0
C 192.168.100.0/24 is directly connected, Ethernet0
S* 0.0.0.0/0 [1/0] via 10.102.66.254
It didn't moan about it.
Chris.
