Web server

While studying for network certifications, I'm wanting to set up a web server on my PC. With Windows Server 2000, can somebody recommend the best way to do this. I have a DSL 1.5 MB internet connection. I'm thinking about buying a router from Best Buy that will do the firewall and let me connect with my laptop. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Yeah...get a router, setup IIS on your windows server, forward tcp port 80 to your webserver

Get a Cisco 2514 or a 2611. They should only be about $75 to $150 on eBay. You are far better off getting the experience of setting up a real Cisco router to support your Internet connection then you are setting up some Linksys router.

If you need wireless then just hook up an access point on the inside interface of the router.
