Manager, Network Design Engineering
Job Description The Manager of Network Design Engineering is principally responsible for designing, deploying, managing, and securing highly available global data interactive network systems forour company . The position is also responsible for direct day-to-day supervision of IT staff working in network engineering. These complex multi-site network systems support mission-critical, business and Internet customer facing systems. The availability, integrity, and security of the network systems are critical to the operation of our company
Overall Responsibilities
Infrastructure Engineering services include the following: " Provides expertise regarding planning, technical architectures, models and standards (process) to both the Business and IS organization
" Recommends appropriate courses of action to developers/technicians, and management on technical and infrastructure issues " Recommend proactive courses of action to maintain cost effectiveness and competitiveness " Proactively assists in defining direction for future technology, infrastructure or architecture projects " Works with the all of the other IT teams and including software development to ensure technology process and support integration " Manage cross functional projects between various organizations " Provides upward, downward and lateral communication " Functions as an inter/intra-group liaison " Leads project efforts as required
Desired Qualifications and Experience: " BA or BS Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related discipline with an IT focus or equivalent years of progressive experience. " 10+ plus years of experience in network architecture " 5+ years direct people management " Cisco certification CCIE, CCNP " Extensive knowledge of data communication systems including hardware, software and applications " Extensive practical knowledge of all layers of the OSI network model " Applied expert knowledge of Internet and Intranet technologies " Applied expert knowledge of WAN and LAN technologies " Experience in designing, planning, and implementing small and large scale network solutions " Project planning and management skills, including ability to identify and assess risk " Must have exceptional verbal, written, interpersonal, and presentation skills " Must be able to work constructively in a team environment
