PVC Status Deleted

While troubleshooting a Frame Relay connection, you discover that the PVC status is being reported as deleted. What is most likely causing this problem?

A. The PVC is not configured on the CSU/DSU.

B. The PVC is not configured on the remote router.

C. The PVC is not configured on the local router.

D. The PVC is not configured on the Frame Relay switch.

E. All of the above could cause this

I think answer is E.

Some say C. What do you guys think?

I say D.

A, DLCI isn't on the csu/dsu (well it was on older ones, but we won't go there) B, would say inactive C, would say unused/inactive D, would say deleted E, is just plain wrong

C. Unused? That sounds weird. There is no state as unused.

Sure is.

The unused references it not being locally configured, the inactive means it's an "live" dlci on the circuit but one of the ends is not configured to use it.

router# show frame-relay pvc

DLCI = 124, DLCI USAGE = UNUSED, PVC STATUS = INACTIVE, INTERFACE = Hssi1/0
