Is it necessary to have a Layer 3 switch to study for the new BCMSN exam for the CCNP, or can I just use Layer 2 switches?
Thanks

I agree with the other poster, however BCMSN just touches on layer 3 switching.
There is no svi's or routing tables on the switches. These switches are capable of routing and containing routing tables.
But hey you can worry about that once you are working in the field.
Good luck with your exam
