i'm actually studying for my ccnp, so far i find all the 2500 range fits well, coz i manage to learn all those stuff that i want.. except for trunk (which is only minor).. i manage to run all routing protocol, including isis....
just make sure u have 16mb ram , and 16 mb flash.. and u can run ios
12.3 without problem... just my experienced...
The SMI 3560 is a *little* better than the SMI 3550 (it has RIP).
The EMI 3560 and the EMI 3550 are identical as far as I can determine, it seems there are some minor marketing issues, and the 3560 has PoE on the entire line (the 3550 only has PoE on the 3550-PWR)...
So, as long as you get the EMI, you are cool.
But I don't know if you can get an SMI and upgrade it like you can with the
3550.Jonathan
i stick here
I wanna do home lab for CCNP. What hardware (what routers, ports and switch) i have to buy in order to do that ?
There is a line of 3560 without PoE just like 3550s
