FTP Problem Please Help

I have installed the the Golden FTP server Software on my desktop. I have a problem, when I try to ftp to the desktop from a client I do not see any files in the root directory. I do a ls and dir commands and I do not see any data. I then typed pwd and I received \\ (which is the root director).

How can I view my files when I FTP to the FTP server when I am in the root directory \\

I am trying to get to the My Documents folder which is on the C: Drive

This is an example of what I am seeing

ftp> dir

200 PORT Command successful. 125 File status okay; about to open data connection. 226 Closing data connection. ftp> ls 200 PORT Command successful. 125 File status okay; about to open data connection. 226 Closing data connection. ftp> pwd 257 "/" is working directory. ftp>

Any Response is Greatly Appreciated

Thank You

You need to check the FTP server configuration for the username you are using to login. Looks like the permissions may not be set correctly.

Could it be that you are logged in under the anonymous password?
