Hi All,

This is my first time configuring frame relay and I am having a hard
time getting the pvc's to be active. I went tough various documents but
they did not seem to help me. I would appreciate if you could guide me
in the right direction.

Network diagram is as below:

R1 is being configured as a normal FR DTE.
R2 is being configured as a normal FR switch.
R3 is being configured as a normal FR DTE.

On my side, I ensured that the interfaces are up. FR encapsulation is
of the correct type. LMI exchanges are fine. Clock rate on R2 is setup
to 64000. Not sure where I am going wrong...

A simple show run for each router would be easier to view, I think....


Try this:

Change your frame-relay route command in Router 2 so there is a valid cross
connect between input and output ports:
Also, the frame switch does not need an IP address on its interfaces,
because the layer 3 association is between
the communicating DTE routers ( R1 and R3)


R2

Router 3 needs to be a host on the same subnet as Router 1
