EIGRP Default Mask?

OK, I think the point that is trying to be made here is that if you don't specify a wildcard mask, EIGRP will assume you meant the whole major class and will treat the entry as such. That having been said, this example would seem to indicate that the wildcard mask wasn't used, when in fact the config shows that it was. Am I just missing something or does the example stink?

The text that goes along with the diagram states there is no wildcard mask used. The configuration snippet shows us that both 10.1.0.0 and

10.4.0.0 both have a 16 bits wildcard mask assigned.

You'r right the example stinks.
