Hi,

I have just received my router and dsl line for my mail-server and want
to configure it basically to allow SMTP and POP3 using ACL. But it just
won't happend.

The router is in routing mode and not NAT mode.

I have on my Dialer0 interface set up:

ip group-access 102 in

I have these access-lists

access-list 102 permit tcp any any eq 25
access-list 102 permit tcp any any eq 110

---

This works to the point that every data from outside to in works. But
when my mailserver want to communicate with the internet (f.eks. send an
email) it is denied.

I then tried to make this:

Dialer0 interface:
ip group-access 101 out

And these access-lists

access-list 102 permit ip any any

But when this is setup the inbounds doesn't work anymore. What have i
missed?

/Christian

Do both inbound and outbound mail work with no access-list?

You have only attached access-list 101, what is in access-list 102?
