CCNA Recertification - 640-801 or 640-811?

I'm studying for my CCNA recertification and wondering which test I should take, the 640-801 or the ICND 640-811. I know that either one will get my cert back, but is one preferred over the other for recertification? I was last certified in 2001 so I'm pretty much learning everything from the beginning again. I'm using Lammle's 5th Edition and Odom's CCNA Library, as well as a router simulator.

You need to pass 640-801, or 640-821 and 640-811, or an exam bearing a

642 prefix for CCNA recertification.

For recertification, you can take just the ICND exam (640-811):

From the link: CCNA certifications are valid for three years. To recertify, either pass the current CCNA exam, or pass the ICND exam, or pass any 642 professional level or Cisco Specialist exam (excluding Sales Specialist exams), or pass a current CCIE written exam.

none!! just study for your knowledge. You do not need to pay big bucks for some stupid exams where they give you

56 questions for 90 minutes and only the 3 simulations might take about 10 min each. the rest will be like 1 question per minute. You need at least 1 minute to read the question, look at the diagram and the answers carefully before you decide on the best answer. You have no choice of skipping questions!!! Text window and topology window are on different pages. If you fail the exam, next time they will give you exactly exam, because that's where you are not comfortable!!

Good luck!
