PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES =B7 Implementation, management and support of key Network Infrastructure products and processes to support the various Lava network environments. This includes LAN, WAN, MAN, VPN, and third party provided network connectivity. Additionally provide implementation support, troubleshooting, network monitoring, and change management of all network environments. =B7 Participate and directly manage Network Implementation projects =B7 Provide Level 2 and 3 support MAIN WORKING RELATIONSHIPS =B7 Reports to SVP, Data Center Operations and works closely with VP Networking. =B7 Candidate will work with Network and Systems engineers in all Datacenters, Security Engineers, as well as Corporate support teams =B7 Interface with the Network, Systems, Application Support, Development, and other Operations Staff to isolate, troubleshoot and implement various datacenter projects. =B7 Work with Client implementation PMs to deliver connectivity to new and existing clients. PROBLEM SOLVING COMPLEXITIES: =B7 Must be able to work independently, display good judgment and ethics =B7 Excellent troubleshooting skills. KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE / SKILLS =B7 Must be proficient in all aspects of Internetworking including: o Cisco Routers, Switches, Firewalls o Foundry Load Balancers o Troubleshooting tools including Network General Sniffer o WAN/MAN Connectivity (T1, T3, SONET, Metro Ethernet, DWDM, CWDM) =B7 Understanding of Best Practices for network operations in highly availability environments =B7 Knowledge of Network management tools and systems (HP Openview, Cisco Works, etc.) =B7 Minimum of 7 years general Internetworking experience with minimum of 5 years in direct hands-on support =B7 Financial Services background preferable =B7 Candidate must demonstrate adequate communication and writing skills. =B7 Prior experience working for a company in the financial industry, as well as a mission critical environment is a plus. | ||||||||||
