Please log in for more thread options Official Cisco Response to Brad Reese Blog Questions Celia Harper-Guerra - Director of Worldwide Partner Talent at Cisco responds to questions asked by Brad Reese regarding recruiter Emmanuel Conde: 1. Does CCIE Agent Emmanuel Conde hold the distinction of being the only Cisco authorized CCIE recruiter? "He is not the only CCIE recruiter agent. Cisco authorizes Bridge Resources as one of our key SRS (Strategic Recruitment Solutions) vendors to help supply talent to our partners. We have a total of six SRS solution vendors at this time globally." ------------------------------------------------------- 2. Please clarify what Bridge Resourcing and Emmanuel Conde do for Cisco and its channel partners in order to get paid? "Bridge Resourcing is a Strategic Recruitment Solution provider of talent to the networking industry. They provide a service to our partner community." ------------------------------------------------------- 3. If Emmanuel Conde and/or Bridge Resourcing are paid by Cisco and/or a Cisco partner, how can Emmanuel Conde call himself a CCIE Agent? It is my understanding that agents are paid commission by their clients, and if Emmanuel Conde and Bridge Resourcing are being paid by Cisco and/or a Cisco partner that would make them a Cisco Agent, not a CCIE Agent? Please clarify this issue, thanks. "The partner pays Bridge Resources for its services and solutions once the candidate is placed in the partner's organization. Cisco has assisted by working with Bridge Resources to help negotiate a discounted rate for Cisco channel partners that utilize Bridge Resources' services." ------------------------------------------------------- 4. Please clarify the CCIE Agent rules of the road. Does this rule stop CCIE Agent Emmanuel Conde as well as Bridge Resourcing from "reaching out" to CCIEs listed on Linkedin as well as BradReese.Com Cisco Resumes or even Network World, who are currently working for Cisco or Cisco channel partners? "Bridge Resources provides an additional level of service to Cisco and our partners by holding events for our CCIEs to connect and network. These are not recruiting events, but rather are events that bring a community of interested CCIEs together, including both Cisco employees and partners. Just as any individual can within the worldwide web, Bridge Resources may also network through social networks." ------------------------------------------------------- 5. Does the one strict rule to never solicit a CCIE to leave one Channel Partner for another or to/from Cisco Systems mean that Cisco has blessed Emmanuel Conde and Bridge Resourcing to aggressively poach CCIEs from service provider, enterprise, health-care, government and educational institution customers of Cisco and/or Cisco channel partners? "The terms of Cisco's contracts with its vendors are confidential. However, Cisco can confirm its commitment to the principle that no employee of our Strategic Recruitment Solution Providers may recruit or solicit potential candidates from Cisco or Cisco partners." ------------------------------------------------------- 6. Are CCIE Agent Emmanuel Conde as well as Bridge Resourcing disclosing the financial remuneration they are being paid by Cisco and/ or Cisco channel partners to those CCIEs that they are recruiting, while also disclosing all potential conflicts of interest that this financial remuneration paid by Cisco and/or Cisco channel partners may imply towards their unbiased representation of a CCIE employment candidate? "Cisco does not pay any remuneration for placements made by Bridge Resources. The partner and Bridge Resources have their own statement of work and remuneration defined by geography and company for specific needs." ------------------------------------------------------- Brad Reese Blogger Gone Wild! http://www.BradReese.Com | ||||||||||
