2611 any good ?

Is the 2611 (two ethernet) any good ? I was going to put it between my PC and my ASDL router, and use it for practicing for the CCNA. I thought about getting a 25xx, but once you have bought a couple of transceivers, it costs about the same.

Should be alright for some basic practice, however, you cannot run

802.1q trunking and related applications.

The 2611 is excellent but you have to factor in the price of add-on cards you migh need, such as a serial card (WIC-1T).

Usually you can get 2x 2514's + transcievers + DTE/DCE cable for the price of one 2611 with no optional cards.

Just use Dynamips/Dynagen for your routers. Just need to get a hold of a

7200 or 3600 ios image. With Dynagen and a few 2950 switches you can build a very nice lab.
