Can anyone tell me why I loose my configuration settings everytime the router reboots or I power it off? Should I use the "Boot Sys" command to tell it where my config is?

Can anyone tell me why I loose my configuration settings everytime the router reboots or I power it off? Should I use the "Boot Sys" command to tell it where my config is?
also check the config register.

are you writing the configuration to startup?
Also check for additional "boot " commands in the running config
