Please log in for more thread options not easy to find documentation on how to install the educational version, except for that which is written in the email from MGC. I downloaded the sw from Mentor and requested the educational license. I got the email from Mentor and followed the instructions in the email. During the install procedure I expect that the educational version is a node locked version and directed to c:\flexlm\license.dat and the install procedure seemed to complete successfully. Ok, so far so good. When starting the sw, I get a message from the license manager about two things: 1. The license file is missing a feature for the viewdrawsved FLEXnet Licensing error:-5,357 2. The systmvisioned_s feature start date lies in the future. FLEXnet Licensing error:-31,34 The sw starts and if I try to create a new project, either my own or one from the tutorial, I get an exception from viewdraw.exe and the program exits. Upon restart, I can click on a schematic entry in the navigator and SV reports a security error from the licensing system. The educational license from MGC only contain one line (and according to text in email, that is correct) for systmvisioned_s Since I both downloaded the evaluation license and the sw at the same time, I guess I have the right sw to the license, and I used ipconfig - all on my winxp with a network connection so that the ethernet adapter reported a valid MAC. Has anybody experienced the same problem with SystemVision and found a solution? -- Kind regards, Svenn | ||||||||||
