terminating 25 pair cable

Anybody know if there are 25 pair cable kits where I dont have to use a butterfly tool? I have one connector end on a 25 pair cable I need to put on, and I dont see the need to waste money on a tool I never use.

Thanks for any help.

Have you considered soldering? There are some solder type connectors available.

You'd have to check with the industrial electronic suppliers, that carry AMP or Amphenol connectors.

James,

I wanted to use the amphenol connector to plug into a voice panel because it would look a lot neater, but, I figure screw it Ill just get the AMP voice panel with 110 connectors on the back and run with that. Some guys I work with are putting in that new 3com NBX system. Should be interesting how it works. Thanks though for your help.

I usually buy premade cables, pigtail on one end, 25-pair on the other, for the rather rare times when I need them. You can buy them any length from just about any cable supplier. Don't know if you have the cable installed already or not, but this certainly makes it easy for those voice type apps that want to use them, and no buying the $$$ expensive tool.
