OM3 patching on OM1 cable?

Please log in for more thread options Hi Can anyone tell me if there is practical adverse effects using OM3 fibre patch leads to connect equipment to OM1 cabling? At a very basic level I would think the receive leg would be degraded as you come from thick to thin. I do not have access to test gear to try it out at the moment. TIA Mick | ||||||||||||||||
