Hi, please could someone help, my isp is Tiscali and I have recently
bought an ethernet modem, have spent hours trying to connect but it
will not let me. I am using windows xp and would appreciate any advice,
step by step to get me connected, the modem can see the adsl connection
but it is just tiscali will not let me log on, their customer support
have been no help as are not interested unless using their usb modem..
Your modem *must* be "provisioned" - the MAC address entered into their modem database and associated with their DHCP server - by the ISP before it will function on their network. If the ISP will not provision the modem then there is no hope that anything you do will make a difference.
